Privacy

What we collect

• Your email address and display name (for sign-in and your dashboard).
• The Swoopstakes you create — names, teams, participants, prizes and any results data.
• For Pro subscribers: billing details handled by Stripe (we receive a customer ID, plan and status — we never see your full card number).
• Basic, aggregate analytics about how the site is used (page views, no individual tracking profiles).

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Stripe receives your email, billing address and payment-method details directly — we never store your card number. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy. We keep a record of your subscription status, plan, period start/end and customer ID so we can grant Pro features and provide receipts.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, we don't run ad-tech trackers, and we don't share your participant lists with anyone outside the providers required to run the service (hosting, database, payments).

Cookies and local storage

We use local storage in your browser to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. No consent banner is needed for the cookies we currently use because they're strictly necessary for the service.

Public sweepstake pages

Anyone with a Swoopstake's share link (/s/<code>) or a Pro vanity URL can view it. Don't add information you wouldn't want a friend-of-a-friend to see. Swoopstakes are never listed publicly anywhere on Swoopstaker.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. Email us via the contact page and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. Subscription records are kept for 6 years after your last invoice to meet UK tax/accounting rules.

Deleting your account

Email us via the contact page and we'll delete your account and all associated Swoopstakes within 7 days. Any active subscription is cancelled at the end of the current period.
