Swoopstaker was founded by Rees Cowne after he found himself doing what many office organisers, pub landlords, club captains and group-chat heroes have done before him: trying to create a World Cup sweepstake without descending into spreadsheet chaos.
It started with one office sweepstake
What started as a simple office World Cup sweepstake quickly became a familiar mess of names, teams, prize pots, rules, random draws, progress tracking and endless "who has who?" questions.
So Rees built Swoopstaker to make the whole thing easier.
